Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 51 (i).] A process for heating industrial furnaces with gases of different calorific value consists in supplying the gases through separate conduits provided with regulating means to a single burner or to separate burners. When applied to a metal-heating furnace, the gas of higher calorific value is supplied to the main furnace while that of lower calorific value is supplied to the preheating zone. The burners and accessories are so arranged that upon the failure of supply of one kind of gas another gas may be employed.
