[Class 37.] A Wheatstone bridge for measuring the resistance of a conducting liquid of variable cross section comprises an accumulator A connected to the ends of a resistance B and a compensating' source of current G opposed to the source A arranged in series with a resistance H and in parallel with the arm containing the resistance D to be measured. A voltmeter E and an oscillograph F are connected as shown. This arrangement minimizes electrolysis or electrochemical deposition on the electrodes connected to the liquid resistance.
