386,906. Resistance measurements. WALLICHS, A. and OPITZ, H., Technical High School, Aix-le-Chapelle, Germany. Aug. 12, 1932, No. 22680. Convention date, Aug. 14, 1931. [Class 37.] A Wheatstone bridge for measuring the resistance of a conducting liquid of variable cross section comprises an accumulator A connected to the ends of a resistance B and a compensating' source of current G opposed to the source A arranged in series with a resistance H and in parallel with the arm containing the resistance D to be measured. A voltmeter E and an oscillograph F are connected as shown. This arrangement minimizes electrolysis or electrochemical deposition on the electrodes connected to the liquid resistance.
