Abstract

385,772. Ventilators. MARSHALL, J., 11, Cogan Street, Pollokshaws, Glasgow. Feb. 10, 1932, No. 3942. [Class 137.] An air-distributing device comprises a rotary part 3 having air outlet passages or vanes 4 provided with orifices 4a through which air issues and thereby causes a rotation of the said part, and means for supporting the rotary part so that it is capable of universal adjustment. As shown, the rotary part of the device is similar to that described in Specification 332,024, [Class 137, Ventilation]. Alternatively the device may be of the kind described in Specification 267,656, [Class 137, Ventilation], in which the vanes 4 are replaced by inwardly extending tubular passages. The device is supported from an air duct 10 by means comprising a ball member 8 attached to the device and seating in a bearing ring 9. In one form the bearing ring is attached to the device and moves on the surface of a ball member attached to the duct. The universal adjusting device is preferably of the type described in Specifications 228,440 and 282,323, [both in Class 137, Ventilation].
