[Class 17 (ii).] The out-turned edge 4 of a shoe upper 3 is stitched, with the aid of a leather strip 6, to the upwardly bent margin 2 of the outer sole 1, the outer or exposed edge of the strip 6, or the margin 2 of the sole, or both, being curled to conceal the stitching 8. The edge of the upper lining 5 is sewn to the inner edge of the strip 6.
