383,618. Endless tracks. MARINIER, P. E. G., Orly, Seine, France. Feb. 13, 1931, No. 4592. Convention date, Feb. 14, 1930. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 79 (i).] A seaplane float or flying boat body is recessed to take an endless track h extending to the forward end of the float to enable the machine to alight on or take off from marshy or other land. The track is carried on rollers d having bearings mounted with interposed rubber rings g within a removable housing c mounted in a recess b of the float. The track h may be a continuous rubber band having a central projection j engaging grooves in the rollers or it may consist of overlapping elements carried by yielding strips i, i<2>. At the forward end of the float, rollers k are provided to prevent the upper part of the track from rubbing on the float.
