Convention date, April 13, 1931. [Class 100 (iv).] Paper-carriages.-The stationary lower rail of the carriage rests on floating blocks supported by the framework, the arrangement preventing the rail from bending when clamped to the framework. In the arrangement shown in the Figure, the rail 8 is formed at each end with a seat X having inclined walls 13 for engaging the curved top 17 of a floating block 14 which rests on a lug 6 on the side 5 of the framework. A clamping-screw 18 engages a threaded hole in the rail and passes through enlarged holes in the block and lug. The rail is provided at each end with an adjusting- screw 26 having a head 27 arranged in a slot in the lug 6. To stay the sides 5, the rail is provided at each end with a slot 23 engaging a screw 23..
