381,191. R÷ntgen tube holders. SIEMENS-REINIGER-VEIFA GES. FUR MEDIZINISCHE TECHNIK, 58, Mohrenstrasse, Berlin. June 30, 1931, No. 16007/32. Convention date, July 8, 1930. Divided on 379,801. [Class 39 (i).] A closed holder affording protection against high potentials and radiations comprises two metal sheathed' insulating members 1, 2 (e.g. of porcelain) slidable with small play over the ends of the tube 18 and united by an earthed metal member 4. Each tubular member 1, 2 is integral with a socket 7, 8 to receive a hightension cable but has no opening other than this and the connection to the metal piece 4. The cable sockets 7, 8 converge towards the centre of the tube and have strengthening webs 9, 10. There is metallic continuity with the metal sheathing over the cables 13. The cathode end 16 is connected up by plugs 15 and the anode end by spring contact with the plate 17. Cooling fluid enters and leaves by a tube 21 through the metal centre 4 as described in Specifiction 379,801 of even date.
