Abstract
381,062. Arrangements and designs of dwellings. LA ROCHE, H., 104, Forchstrasse, Zollikerberg, near Zurich, Switzerland. Feb. 10, 1932, No. 3946. [Class 20 (i).] Buildings are formed with cells of different sizes composed of panels fitted together, room cells being separated by corridor cells, the panels forming the walls and roofs of the cells being provided with lugs which overlap and through which common connecting bolts are passed. The roof panels b<1> of the corridor cells are provided with bracket portions at their ends to form stiffeners for the corridor walls. Fig. 1 shows a perspective view of a complete main block, d<1> being the outer wall slabs, a<1> the inner or corridor wall slabs, and b<1>, c<1> the ceiling slabs for the corridor and rooms respectively. The corridor ceiling slabs are provided with stiffening brackets d through which and the aligned lugs of the slabs the common connecting bolts pass, as shown in Fig. 6. The corridor slabs may be provided with door apertures and the wall slabs with window apertures. Divisional panels a3, b<3>, Fig. 8, are placed where required to divide the room spaces, and staircase room is provided where required for stairs e<3>, f<3> by omitting the ceiling panels at those positions. Verandahs o, n may be provided and these may be formed of panels with lugs which align with the lugs on the wall and ceiling panels, the whole being secured together by common connecting bolts as before. The slabs may be formed with conduits for the passage of wires, pipes, &c. The frames for the panels may be of metal, ferro-concrete or other suitable material.
