Abstract

379,102. Hand-cranks. WHITTAKER BROS. (ACCRINGTON), Ltd. and DUCKWORTH, J. A., Pioneer Works, Accrington. Sept. 1, 1931, No. 24493. [Class 136 (ii).] In a folding crank handle for wringing machines &c. a boss A is rigidly secured to the shaft B or other part to be driven and is formed with a lateral projection a having a radial face formed with ribs or grooves a<2> adapted to interlock with complementary grooves or ribs on the inner end of the crank handle C when the latter is in the operative position shown, the parts being locked in this position by means of a bolt D<2> and nut D<1>. The handle C is folded inwards about the bolt D<2> to the inoperative position and then relocked by the nut D<1>. The boss A may have driving-keys a<3>.
