Abstract
378,836. Thermionic valves. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN, 13D, Emmasingel, Eindhoven, Holland. April 27, 1932, No. 12098. Convention date, Sept. 9, 1931. [Class 39 (i).] The electrodes of thermionic valves are formed of a wire of molybdenum, nickel, &c. sheathed by a mechanical process with zirconium, Titanium, thorium or hafnium. Such electrodes occlude gases during operation of the valve, and have small secondary electron emissivity. Specifications 249,067 and 260,062, [both in Class 39 (1), Electric lamps, Arc &c.], are referred to.
