Abstract
378,134. Valve amplifying circuits. HAZELTINE CORPORATION, 15, Exchange Place, Jersey City, New Jersey, U.S.A.-(Assignees of MacDonald, W. A. ; Little Neck, New York, U.S.A.) June 5, 1931, No. 16473. Convention date, July 19, 1930. [Class 40 (v).] An input or intervalve coupling comprises a transformer with a, tuned secondary winding L2 and a primary winding L1 magnetically coupled and in addition capacitatively coupled in an opposing manner. The primary winding is in addition resonant at a frequency slightly above the highest frequency of the tuning range so that the efficient amplification of the lower frequencies and stable amplification of the higher frequencies in the tuning range is obtained. In a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown), a neutralized amplifier of the kind described in Specification 223,181, [Class 40 (v), Wireless signalling &c.], is used.
