Abstract

377,490. Joint - - making packing. AVERY, Ltd., W. & T. and SYKES, C. M., Soho Foundry, Birmingham. Sept. 16, 1931, No. 25902. [Class 122 (iii).] A gasket for sealing instrument housings &c. comprises a rubber annulus 6 having an inwardly directed channelshaped portion 6a to grip the periphery of the glass panel 5 and an outer portion formed with one continuous or several air chambers 6b adapted to be compressed between the casing 7 and a member 8. The latter is secured by screws 9 passing through the gasket.
