Abstract
375,420. Turbine blading. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA AKTIEBOLAGET, Võsteras, Sweden. March 27, 1931, No. 9417. Convention date, March 31, 1930. [Class 110 (iii).] In a turbine of the radial-flow type with axial-flow blading in the low-pressure stages the axial-flow guide blading -comprises one or more sets of annularly arranged guide blades with the blades of a set clamped both at the outer and inner circumference directly between rings bolted, riveted, or otherwise secured together, the outer rings being removably secured to inwardly projecting flanges of the wall surrounding the radial-flow blading while the inner rings are free. The steam from the radial-flow blading 1, 2 passes to the space 3 bounded by the cylindrical member 4 and is directed by the guide blading 5, 6 into two opposite axial streams passing to the moving blades 7, 8 and through further guide blading 9, 10 to moving blades 11, 12. The guide blading such as 5 comprises blades and associated spacing members which are shaped at their outer and inner ends 13, 14 for securing between rings 19, 20 and 21, 22 respectively. These rings may be riveted together as shown at 36 for the guide blading 6 or bolted together as shown at 35 for the blading 9. The guide bladings 5, 9 are removably secured to a lateral inwardly extending flange of the member 4 by bolts 38 which pass with clearance through holes in the clamping rings 19, 20 of the blading 5. The adjacent rings of separate bladings such as the rings 20, 23 may be integral and the axially inmost ring 19 may be integral with the member 4. Stay rods 39 connect the inner ends of the bladings 5, 6.
