375,152. Razors. GARLAND, J. V., 106, Hue Victor Hugo, Le Havre, France. Sept. 25, 1931, No. 26816. [Class 30.] A razor blade b of the ordinary type which can be folded into the handle i has a guard a adjustably mounted so as to be able to occupy three positions adjacent the blade edge for compelling the blade to be held at the correct angle during use and for protecting the blade when not in use. The guard is carried. on pivots e, f, and has a pin or stud g, adapted to make resilient engagement with any one of a series of recesses in the blade. Alternatively the pin g may be replaced by a spring- pressed ball and may project from the razor blade, the recesses being formed in the guard. The pin and recesses may be provided at the inner end of the blade and may include an operating lever enabling the guard to be moved by the hand holding the razor. During stropping the guard moves automatically from one side of the blade edge to the other.
