Abstract
373,427. Loom beat-up mechanism. SOC. ANON. A. SAURER, Arbon, Switzerland. June 4, 1931, No. 16249. Convention date, June 4, 1930. [Class 142 (iii).] The oscillatory movements of the sley are derived from the main driving shaft 2 which is provided with pairs of gear wheels 10, 10a and 11, 11a adapted to engage additional sets of gear wheels 12, 12a and 13, 13a respectively, the whole of the driving mechanism being mounted in casings 6, 7 on the sides of the loom. The wheels 12, 12a and 13, 13a are connected by pins 14, 15 respectively on which connecting-rods 16, 17, pivotally attached to the sley swords, are detachably mounted, the arrangement permitting pairs of wheels, with a greater or smaller crank throw according to the size of shuttle employed, to be fitted.
