Abstract

370,968. Door holders spring catches. HARVEY, F. C., 28, High Street, Wanstead, London. Dec. 10, 1930, No. 37269. [Classes 44 and 65 (i).] A catch for holding doors and like hinged or sliding closure members in the closed or any open position comprises a spring strip 1 carrying a catch block 2 at one end, adapted to engage the edge of the door, and having at the other end a supporting member substantially at right-angles to the plane of the strip. This supporting member may be fixed to the strip or formed by bending the strip, and is arranged to enter the ground, as shown, or to be fixed to any vertical support; alternatively, the catch may be fixed to the door to engage the frame or other fixed part. The catch block may be formed by bending the end of the strip to the required form.
