Abstract

369,728. Tripod stands. BOARDMAN, R. V., 1, Beverley Road, East Ham, London. Feb. 27, 1931, No. 6246. [Class 52 (v).] A collapsable stand is provided with three symmetricallyarranged legs 4 pivoted to a fixed collar 2, and connected by struts 8 to a slidable collar 9, o the telescopic stem 1. The legs are each formed from a strip bent back upon itself and the struts 8 each consist of spaced strips with bulged parts 8a adapted to receive the enlarged ends 4a of the legs when the latter are folded against the stem 1. The collar 9 is secured in an adjusted position by a pin 10 engaging one of the holes 11 in the stem. Alternatively, the legs and struts may consist of metal tubes. The stand is preferably made of aluminium.
