[Class 135.] Valves controlled by pilot or relay valves.-A closure device actuated by a power cylinder has the actuating fluid supplied to each end of the cylinder through a branched pipe, one branch g, leading into the cylinder adjacent the end. cover, the other f opening into the cylinder wall where it is closed by the piston as it approaches the end of its stroke. The pipe f is fitted with an adjustable throttling screw and the pipe g with a leaky non-return valve opening towards the cylinder. The non-return valve may be formed with a bleed passage or a screwed stop may be fitted to prevent it entirely closing.
