361,122. Hydraulic apparatus. DRUMMOND, A., Ryde's Hill, Guildford, Surrey. Nov. 26, 1930, No. 35624. [Class 69 (ii).] Hydraulic p i s - ton - and - cylinder mechanism is provided with means for restricting the exhaust at the end of one stroke, but permitting full inlet at the commencement of the next stroke. In the form shown, the piston carries a plug G<1> adapted to enter an opening C<3> to restrict exhaust, the plug being moved against the action of a spring F when the opening C<3> becomes the inlet opening. A piston-securing nut E<2> has slots E<3> to allow liquid flow, when the nut is in contact with the cylinder head B<3>.
