[Class 20 (ii).] An adjustable prop for supporting floor shuttering is formed of two main members, the upper one of which a rests on an adjustable shoe b mounted to slide on the lower member c and capable of being locked automatically thereon by means of a wedge g coacting with a pin e which passes across the outer ends of links f pivoted to the shoe. The upper end of the wedge passes between the rear face of the lower member and a strap d fixed to the shoe and is turned over at its top to form a depending tongue which passes through the strap and is adapted to be locked therein by a device s.
