359,329. Seal fastenings. JENKINS, R., Ruskin, Rodger Drive, Rutherglen, Lanarkshire. Jan. 21, 1931, No. 1982. Addition to 355,406. [Class 44.] In a fastening for boxes of the kind described in the parent Specification, the gummed paper or other sealing strip is so arranged as to prevent operation of the catch from inside (e.g. by insertion of a tool or hand through the handhole 2a of the box) as well as from outside, without rupture of the seal. The sliding catch 6 urged into a recess 7 in the wall 2 of the box by a spring 21 surrounding a stem 19 slidable in a hole formed in a button 11 is guided by slots 8a and screws 8, and has an aperture 14 in approximate register with an aperture 15 in the lid 1 through which the catch can be released. The sealing strip 16 is passed through slots 25 in the lid and covers the aperture 14 inside and aperture 15 outside, as shown.
