Abstract
358,061. Discharge lamps. ELECTRICAL RESEARCH PRODUCTS, Inc., 195, Broadway, New York, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Weinhart, H. W. ; 61, Dayton Street, Elizabeth, New Jersey, U.S.A.) July 2, 1930, No. 18283/31. Convention date, Oct. 23, 1929. Divided on 358,060. [Class 39 (i).] The envelope consists of a metallic thimble-like electrode 21, preferably the cathode, closed at one end and joined to an insulating closure 20 at the other end, a second electrode 27 preferably the anode being mounted within the envelope near the insulating closure. A funnel-shaped barrier 26 is arranged so as to confine the discharge. A water jacket 22 surrounds the cathode. The cathode may be of conical shape and may be coated with oxide.
