Abstract

352,402. Friction gearing. KRUPP GRUSONWERK AKT.-GES., F., Buckau, Magdeburg, Germany. April 3, 1930, No. 10624. Convention date, May 29, 1929. [Class 80 (i).] A roller for roller-way conveyers is driven by an electromotor 10 through friction gearing on which a roller 12 on the armature shaft 11 engages between three idler rollers 14, 15 radially free in a stationary bracket 4 and engaging an outer ring 16 which is integral with the roller 1 or coupled thereto by pins 17 and slots 18. The gearing may carry wedge-shaped ribs on its engaging surfaces. The roller 1 turns on a stationary shaft 2 and on the bracket 4. The motor may lie within the roller 1. Instead of the roller 12, one of the rollers 14, 15 may be driven by the motor.
