Abstract

352,114. Supporting tubes. WALSALL CONDUITS, Ltd. and READ, A. E., Excelsior Works, West Bromwich. April 15, 1930, No. 11874. [Class 52 (v).] A clip for supporting tubes, pipes, electric wires, &c., comprises an attachment plate 1 which is secured to a supporting surface through an opening 2 and which possesses threaded holes for the reception of screws 3, and a bridge-piece 4. The bridge-piece has a central portion of saddle shape and end portions 6 in which keyhole slots 8 are cut. It is released from the attachment plate by giving the bridge-piece a sliding motion parallel to the axis of the tube. A single securing screw may be employed in which case the bridge-piece has only one end portion. The securing screws may be burred to prevent their complete withdrawal. Longitudinal ribs 9 may be provided for stiffening purposes.
