Abstract
Powdered ores having a high sulphur content are roasted and sintered by burning them, with or without added fuel, in an ignition apparatus over the sintering hearth of a blast-roasting apparatus; the burning ore falls on to the charge on the hearth and is roasted and sintered therewith. The charge on the hearth may be sulphide, oxide, or other ore.ALSO:Powdered ores having a high sulphur content are roasted and sintered by burning them, with or without added fuel, in an ignition apparatus over the sintering hearth of a blast-roasting apparatus; the burning ore falls on to the charge on the hearth and is roasted and sintered therewith. The charge on the hearth may be sulphide, oxide, or other ore.
