350,657. Oil engines. RICHARDSONS, WESTGARTH & CO., Ltd. and BURN, W. S., Hartlepool Engine Works, Hartlepool. April 17, 1930, No. 13212. Addition to 305,333, [Class 7 (ii), Internalcombustion engines, Arrangement &c. of]. [Classes 7 (ii) and 7 (iii).] An insulating ring 3 of the type and for the purpose described in the parent Specification, instead of having a concentric inner surface, has the latter shaped to eliminate air pockets in which fuel from opposed injectors 1, 2 cannot penetrate. Figs. 3 and 4 show cross sections of the ring at the points of minimum and maximum radial depth respectively. The ring may be shrunk on the cylinder head or on the piston.
