350,567. Four-stroke cycle engines. KJãR, V. A., 16, Hoyensgade, Copenhagen. March 15, 1930, No. 8364. Drawings to Specification. [Class 7 (ii).] Air supplied by an exhaust-engine driven blower is used to scavenge the cylinders at the end of the exhaust strokes as the admission valves open and after a charge has been drawn into a cylinder by suction a supercharge of air is added by the blower. A common valve may control all three portions of air. Pumps, actuating.-All the cylinders may discharge into a common exhaust manifold or they may be connected to group manifolds; one or more turbines or engines is or are driven by this engine to drive one or more compressers in series or parallel. Multistage blowers may be used. Part of the exhaust only may be used in the turbines.
