Abstract

193,838. Lemasson, R. Feb. 22, 1922, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Two-stroke-cycle engines.-A two-stage fan 7 withdraws products from the cylinder after the main exhaust valve 5 has been opened and closed. After or just before the terminal exhaust ports 6 are closed by the piston 2, a second twostage air compressor 9 supplies the cylinder through the valve 8, the air being carburetted before admission. Single stage fans may be used and they may be driven independently of the engine, for example by exhaust actuated turbines.
