349,864. Hollow sheet-metal panels and slabs. JUNKERS, H., 21, Kaiserplatz, Dessau, Anhalt, Germany. Sept. 4, 1930, No. 26449. Convention date, Sept. 7, 1929. [Classes 20 (iv) and 87 (i).] Hollow sheet-metal panels and building slabs are provided with spreader means to produce initial tension in two directions across the faces. For rectangular and polygonal panels, toggles 3, 4 bear on channel strips 2 inserted along the edges ; for circular panels, a single toggle bears on the extremities of a single circular channel strip. Other means may be used for producing the tension, such as wedges inserted in the gaps of the channel strips.
