Abstract
349,756. Yielding bearings. ARON ELECTRICITY METER, Ltd., HILL, E. W., WHITE, A., and RIORDAN, E. J., 80, Salusbury Road, Kilburn, London. May 8, 1930, No. 14188. [Class 12 (i).] A cup bearing 27 or pin bearing for the rotating parts of electrical instruments is carried by a pin 13 slidable in a sleeve 1. The pin 13 is urged upwardly by a compression spring 25 and at the end remote from the bearing it has a slit 15 and an annular groove 17. A spring washer 19 accommodated in a recess 3 in an enlargement of the sleeve 1 engages the groove 17 and holds the pin 13 in position. The sleeve 1 is secured within an outer sleeve 9 mounted in the frame of the instrument by means such as a bayonetjoint connection 7, 11.
