Abstract

348,290. Liquid fuel supply to burners. PARKER, E. B., Holliscroft, Shenfield Gardens, Hutton, Essex. March 18, 1930, No. 8636. [Class 75 (i).] Liquid fuel is drawn from a source of supply and forced directly to the burners of a furnace by means of water under pressure. In the system shown, a pump of the double -acting tandem cylinder type, comprising a power cylinder j supplied with water from a pressure main p, and an oil-pumping cylinder e, draws oil from a reservoir a and pumps it directly to the burner c. An air vessel is connected to the pressure oil line. The oil may pass through a heater b. A thermostatically controlled valve may regulate the quantity of oil pumped. A duplex tandem cylinder pump may be employed.
