Abstract
330,737. Motley, L. May 17, 1929. Liquid-fuel supply. - In liquid-fuel burning apparatus in which fuel is fed to one or a group of burners from a pressure supply, a reducing valve is provided in each pipe delivering oil to the burner or burners. As shown, the fuel in a reservoir 2 is kept under a constant pressure by air issuing from a compressed air container 3 and regulated by a reducing valve 5. Pipes 6 and 7 feeding the fuel to the burners. A, B and C are provided with ordinary valves 8, reducing valves 9 and pressure gauges 16 and 17. In modifications the fuel may be under water pressure instead of air pressure or the fuel may be fed by a pump into an hydraulic accumulator and thence to the burners.
