F.; Madison, Wisconsin, U.S.A.) April 14, 1930, No. 11763. Convention date, April 19, 1929. [Class 20 (iv).] An adjustable device for securing furring strips 1 or like bars to a ceiling or wall consists of an anchor bolt 5 and a sheet metal clip 9 having flanges 11 to be bent under the member 1. The clip is recessed at 9a to receive a washer 10 and the head of the bolt, and a threaded plate 8, or spring plate, is provided on the bolt. For wall corners, the clip 9, Fig. 6, is bolted to a bracket 16. The device is particularly suitable for securing the sound-absorbing coverings described in Specifications 327,186 and 328,617, [both in Class 20 (iv), Floors &c.].
