Abstract

1,112,185. Suspended ceilings. BRITISH GYPSUM Ltd. 1 March, 1967 [30 March, 1966]. No. 14163/66. Heading E1W. A mineral wool or fibre-board tile or panel 14 is supported on the flanges 11 of spaced supporting members 10 by spring steel clips 16 having pointed prongs 17 pressed into the tiles and resilient crescent shaped portions 18 which are pressed back by the flanges 11 as the tile is offered up and spring into place over the flanges when the tile is in place. One of the transverse edges of the tile has an edgeways facing groove which engages the flange of an intermediate supporting member extending between the flanges 11.
