Abstract

347,711. Road vehicle hoods. SPRENGERS, V. T., 15, Rue Moons, Antwerp, Belgium. Jan. 31, 1930, No. 3351. [Class 108 (i).] In road vehicles of the kind which may be transformed from a two-seater vehicle to a four-seater by means of a superstructure provided with a movable portion which may be moved to the rear and secured in its retracted position the intervening space being covered by a sliding roof portion, the dicky seat portion is provided with a cover which is fitted with seat and back cushions and is movable into position for forming rear seats when the vehicle is used as a four seater. The movable portion a is provided with a roof f and is adapted to be withdrawn into the position shown in Fig. 6. The roof f slides on the roof e of the fixed portion d which is provided with hinged extensions k which may be folded as shown in Fig. 5 or extended and secured to the movable portion a as shown in Fig. 6. The dicky seat comprises a cover in two portions j, j<1> having seat and back squabs which form rear seats when the cover is folded down as shown.
