Abstract
346,427. Liquid level indicators. KONIECZNY, J., 18, Derfflingerstrasse, and KAPPIS, L., 10, Sch÷neberger Ufer, both in Berlin. Jan. 6, 1930, No. 473. Convention date, Jan. 7, 1929. [Class 123 (i).] In a liquid level indicator a float 2 slides on guides 3 and rotates a helical strip 4 on the spindle of which is mounted a rotary plate condenser 7. The condenser is connected in circuit with a battery 9, galvanometer 11 and switch 13, so that when the switch is closed the galvanometer pointer is deflected momentarily to an extent dependent on the capacity of the condenser and consequently on the liquid level. Contacts 14, 15 may be provided on the condenser whereby on attainment of a predetermined minimum level a lamp 18 is illuminated. The indicator is applicable to the fuel tanks of motor vehicles or to stationary tanks.
