Abstract
342,823. Plate heat exchangers. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd., BushHouse, Aldwych, London.-(Assignees of Frame, W. M. ; 806, North Avenue, Massillon, Ohio, U.S.A.) Nov. 27, 1929, No. 36348. Convention date, Dec. 7, 1928. [Classes 29, 64 (ii) and 64 (iii).] In a heat radiating unit consisting of risers connecting headers, the risers are held rigidly together by end flanges 5 welded along adjacent edges 6 and forming a cylindrical surface, and a cylindrical member 9 is welded to the remaining edges 7 to form the header. The riser members are formed from plates 2 welded at the edges 3 and intermediate lines 4, and then blown apart by compressed air.
