Abstract
340,812. Grinding, crushing, &c. mills. SCHWALB, (nÚe FLUSS), S., Fischern, Kartsbad, Czecho- Slovakia. Jan. 22, 1930, No. 2217. [Class 59.] Disc and like mills.- Caked pulverulent material is disintegrated by a gyratory disc 7 rotatable on its own axis, the material being disintegrated between the bottom of the disc 7 and a vertically movable sieve 10 suspended by cords and weights 13 over pulleys 15. The fine material falls into a receptacle 11 placed on a table 12 which is supported by links 14 and cranks 18 from a shaft 16 operable by a toothed sector 2 and pinion 17 to raise or lower the table. The disc 7 is driven by a pulley 4 through bevel wheels 5, 5<1> of which 5<1> is fixed to a sleeve 20 rotatable on a pin to which is keyed a pinion 6. An arm 19 is fixed to the sleeve and a pinion 21 gears with the pinion 6 so that the disc rotates as it revolves about the axis of the sleeve. The sieve 10 is secured in a receptacle 8 by a bayonet-joint so that it may be exchanged when a different material is to be ground.
