Abstract
337,274. Kinemas, Ltd., and Archer, C. Dec. 31, 1929. Thermionic amplifiers .-An audiofrequency amplifier comprises a plurality of push-pull units, the output voltages of which are additively combined in a common output. The Figure shows two pairs of push-pull connected valves 2, 3, the grids of which are fed from separate secondaries on the intervalve transformer 7, while the anodes are connected to the two primary windings 10, of the output transformer. The two latter windings are arranged 180‹ out of phase so that their outputs are additively combined in the secondary 11. The qualities of the windings 6 are compensated by resistances 12, 13 which also serve to prevent selfoscillation; imperfect matching of the valves is counteracted by resistances 14.
