Reservoirs in axle-boxes. - In an axle-box in which lubricant is supplied to a channel 6 in a bush 2 by a rotating member 4 dipping into an oil container divided into compartments 11 - - 15 by partitions 7 - - 10 having openings 16 - - 19 below the surface of the oil arranged at different heights and of different lateral widths, the partition 10 is curved at 21 away from a dustpocket 23 fitted with a spring-pressed dust-guard 24 which is further protected by an inclined lip 22. A centrifugal ring (not shown) is located between the partition 10 and the dust-pocket 23.
