Moulding foot-arch supports.-A device for producing a foot-arch support comprises a hollow elastic sock filled with a substance, such as wax, adapted, under the impression of the loaded foot, to re-adjust itself within the covering material until it fits the arch of the foot and then to set hard. The sock thus obtained may itself serve as a foot-arch support or as a pattern in the formation of a foot-arch support from other material. The sock may also be filled under pressure while the foot is resting upon it. The impression may be taken inside a shoe or the like, the sock accommodating itself to the shape of the insole of the footwear.
