Connecting-rods.-The head of a connecting-rod f carried by a roller bearing on a crank-shaft a is guided simultaneously with the rollers d by divided rings g, h mounted in recesses n and spaced apart by an enlarged part b of the shaft. The rings are independent of the rotation of the rollers and of the connecting-rod. When the diameter of the enlarged part varies at different positions along the crank-shaft, connecting-rod heads of the same circumference may be employed by utilizing race rings of different radial widths. If the inner race rings c are omitted the enlarged part of the shaft is hardened to form a race for the rollers.
