Abstract

Gas fires.-In an incandescent gas fire having an air-heating chamber in which the waste gases flow round air-tulbes e, e<1>, the side walls g, g<1> of this chamber are provided with ribs h between which is supported a baffle plate f which separates the rows of tubes, and also with ribs i supporting between them the refractory back plate d behind the incandescent elements. The sides are further provided with lugs l for securing the top and bottom of the chamber, and ribs k on the back maintain the sides at the correct distance. The front, casting of the stove is formed with front and side lugs to which the air-heating chamber is attached, a. convex front portion of the top of the chamber fitting against an internal shoulder on the. canopy of the front casting. Two burners a, a<1>, having different numbers of jet apertures allow three degrees of heating to be maintained, by the use of either or both of them.
