Abstract
332,544. Rigby & Co. (Gunmakers), Ltd., J., Fair, C. D., and Lunn, W. April 19, 1929. Detachable propelling installations. -In detachable propelling installations with under water exhaust discharge the anti-cavitation plate is made hollow to form a chamber for receiving the exhaust gases, and is provided with a discharge opening at the rear. The hollow casing carrying the propeller drive is formed in two parts 2, 4, flanges of which 3, 5 are connected together to form anticavitation plate 7. The parts 3, 5 are spaced apart except at their edges and form a hollow chamber for receiving the exhaust gases by the exhaust pipe 10, 11 to the hollow gear-box casing.
