Abstract

331,184. Parker, A. E. March 15, 1929. Crates.-In a chain grate in which the rear portion is inclined downwardly in an arc of large radius followed by a portion tangential thereto, the links are caused to form into steps D as they near the projecting nose of the ash and clinker plate, the steps however disappearing before reaching the nose. This arrangement increases the grip of the grate on the clinker &c., which is thus more certainly carried against the dumping plate.
