Abstract

327,874. Hassall, T. G. April 26, 1929. Addition to 286,387. Vaporizers, external.-According to the parent Specification, the air supply for a carburettor or vaporizer is drawn through a muff surrounding the exhaust pipe and then through a chamber containing a filter and an electric heater for use at starting. According to the invention, water vapour is added to the air either in the muff or at any point between the muff and the carburettor. As shown, the air supply of the carburettor g is drawn through a muff a surrounding the exhaust pipe b and a filtering and heating device f as described in the parent Specification, water vapour from the overflow pipe l of the radiator m being admitted through a conduit i to the pipe e connecting the muff a to the device f.
