Abstract

325,426. Shaw, G. R. Nov. 27, 1928. Barrel hinges.-The two parts of a casement window each comprising two hinged sections 5, 4 are detachably hinged together at the centre by hinge plates 6, 6<1>, the plate 6<1> being pinned to a lug 8<1> on one part. The pin 9 is of square section passed through a square hole in a projection 8 on the plate and is provided with a cranked end 9<1> adapted to be retained beneath a flange 10 on the plate 6. When the sashes are closed the pin 9 may be removed and the hinge plate 6 detached. The pin 9 is held in the disengaged position by a cross pin 11 and a right-angled lug 12 on the plate.
