Treadle mechanism. - Foot-propelled vehicles, such as those resembling motor-cars for use by children, comprise a main frame consisting of two substantiallyparallel side members a, a<1>, which are connected at each end to upwardlybent or elevated extension members c, c<1> by junction members b, b<1>, which also serve as anchorages for axle suspension springs e, e<1>. The junction members b are provided with transverse bearings h for the spindles h<1> of a pair of treadle levers k, fitted with pedals k<1> and connected by rods k<2> to cranked parts g<3> of the axle g. Ball or roller bearings g<4> are preferably interposed between the ends of the connecting-rods k<2> and the cranked parts g<3>, and are fixed on the axle g, and the sleeved ends k<3> of the rods k<2> applied thereto, before the axle is bent to its cranked form.
