Abstract

220,760. Short, H. T. June 21, 1923. Spring devices.-A spring suspension for the rear wheels of motor and other cycles comprises pivoted wheel-carrying members e, f, links or pairs of links i, k jointed to the main frame or to an extension b thereof, and one or a pair of connecting links j, the links being controlled by one or more diagonal tension springs l, or one or more compression springs along the other diagonal. The links j are adjustable in length, and the positions of the links and springs may also be adjustable according to the load. A second quadrilateral linkage may be arranged below the first linkage.
