Abstract
323,440. Schultz, R. April 25, 1929. Clips and holders for cables and conductors.- A pair of conductors is clamped between an upper member d and a lower member b, which are held together by the head c of a screwstud a taking into the lower member. The upper member, which is loosely anchored to the stud, has diametrically opposite depending arms k which pass through slots v in the lower clamping member in order to keep the conductors apart. In order that conductors of different diameters may be clamped, the slots are flared to allow the member &c. to tilt, and the upper-surface of the clamping member d may be domed. Fig. 4 shows a collar x on the stud between which and the stud head is a recess w into which takes a circular edge on the upper member d for retention. In order to prevent the complete disengagement of the stud, the lower ends of the arms k on the upper mem. ber may be bent inwards to grip the lower clamping member. In a modification, a screw o, Fig. 8, is rigidly fixed to the lower clamping member and carries a nut y to which the upper clamping member is loosely anchored.
